Not to mention, he's having a great 2021-22 season in Calgary, which would normally mean an extension. So, yeah, that’s one of the more surprising moves of this year’s NHL offseason.


With most of the league's other 31 teams vying for the bid, Tkachuk's path Country Email List is rather unclear. Eventually, he signed an eight-year contract with the Florida Panthers. But it's not all bad news for Calgary: Tkachuk's former team received Jonathan Huberdeau and Mackenzie Vega, as well as a first-round draft pick.
